Frogen R-134a

Frogen® R-134a

Frogen® R-134a has been developed by Frogen® Ltd. to serve as one of the key substitutes for CFCs and HCFCs. Frogen® R-134a is a long-term, environmentally safer, non-ozone depleting substitute. As a refrigerant, it possesses similar energy efficiency and capacity characteristics as Frogen® R-12 and has an intrinsically low toxicity. Frogen® R-134a is the alternative refrigerant of choice in automobile air-conditioning. It may be used in residential and commercial refrigeration, as well as commercial, and industrial air-conditioning.

Handling Precautions

Keep away from sources of ignition. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Protect cylinders from damage. Do not drag, slide, roll or drop cylinders. Slowly open valve. Close cylinder valve after each use and keep closed even when cylinder is empty. Never apply heat or flame to any part of cylinder. Avoid inhalation of high concentration of vapours. Avoid contact between liquid and skin and eyes.

Storage Precautions

Store and use with adequate ventilation. Keep in a cool place away from fire risk, direct sunlight and all sources of heat. Avoid storing near intake of air conditioning units, boiler units and open drains. Store cylinders below 45 °C.
